पृथ्वी पर लंगड़े क्यों है?





       पान-कू पृथ्वी का निर्माता जब स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी पौधे जानवर बना चुका तो उन्हें जगह-जगह पृथ्वी पर रहने भेज दिया लेकिन अभी पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य नही थे। पान-कू को लगा कि कहीं कुछ कमी है। कोई ऐसी बु(िमान जाति भी होनी चाहिये जो सब जीवों को पालने में उसकी सहायता कर सके।पूरा दिन लगा कर पान-कू ने मिट्टी से पुरुष और स्त्री का निर्माण किया। उनके सूखने पर उनमें जीवन डाल दिया।

       फिर पान-कू ने बहुत सारे आदमी और स्त्रियों का निर्माण किया और उन्हें धूप में सूखने के लिये रख दिया। अभी वे पूरे सूखे नहीं थे कि एक बादल का टुकड़ा आ गया। पान-कू को लगा लगर वारिश हो गई तो उसकी सब मेहनते बेकार हो जायेगी। उसने सबको इकट्ठा कर गट्ठर में भरा घर ले गया लेकिन तेज हवा में गट्ठर इधर-उधर हिल रहा था और कुछ स्त्री-पुरुष घायल हो गये। यही कारण है कि कुछ स्त्री-पुरुष लंगड़े-लूले होते हैं।
